To get a teacher card
Bring proof of employment to either the Main Library or one of the library branches, Russiaville or South. This can be a teacher ID, check stub or letter from the school. Fill out a teacher card registration form at the Circulation Desk at the Main Library, South Branch, or Russiaville Branch. Your new teacher card is valid from the time of receipt until August 1st of the following year. You may renew your card by phone if an existing card was used during the previous school year.

Answers to FAQ's
  • Teachers are encouraged to keep their collection in the classroom. Non-instructional materials should be checked out on the individual's personal library card.
  • Holiday books and "hot" topics may be limited to no more than five titles during periods of high demand.
  • One video and one DVD may be checked out at the same time for seven days but will not be included in delivered collections. CD-ROM materials are not included in teacher collections.
  • Requests for multiple copies of a specific title are accepted, but will be subject to current availability.
  • Student teachers need written permission to use their supervising teacher's library card.
  • Teachers can lose teacher collection privileges if, at any time, five or more items are not returned. When the number of missing or unpaid items is less than five, the teacher card is reinstated.
