Greentown residents, Victor and Roxie were married in Jeffersonville, Indiana, on January 13, 1917, when they were 17 and 18 years of age. Victor was a farmer and Roxie a homemaker. They were the parents of Garth Broo, of Greentown; Betty Broo, of Yuba City, California; Mary (Mrs. Harold) Reed, of Marion; Jack Broo, of Walton; Myla (Mrs. David) Harmon, of Tampa, Florida; Harold Broo and Martha (Mrs. Ronald) Freiberger, both of Kokomo; and the late Victor Broo, jr. They had 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren at the time of their 70th wedding anniversary.
