Long Term Lovers of Howard County

Joseph and Mary E. (Hamilton) Crousore : 68 Years
Married April 20th, 1879

Long-time Greentown residents Joseph Crousore and Mary Hamilton were married in Taylor Township on Easter Sunday, April 20, 1879, and spent all their married life in Howard County. Their 7 children were: Curtis Crousore, of Rensselaer, Missouri; Elmer and Bryan Crousore, of Kokomo; Gertrude (Mrs. Harry) Smith, of Kokomo; Leo Crousore and Hazel (Mrs. Ray) Keeler, of Greentown; and Anna (Mrs. Owen) Horoho, of Sycamore. They also had 26 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild at the time they celebrated their 68th anniversary, when this five-generation photograph was taken. They died within six weeks of each other and are buried alongside each other in Albright Cemetery.
