Glenn and Edith (Simpson) Etherington : 59 Years
Married August 17th, 1930

Glenn Etherington was born in Howard county in 1908, and graduated from West Middleton High School in 1926. On August 17, 1930, he married South Bend native Edith Simpson at the Courtland Avenue Friends Church, with the Rev. Arthur Haworth officiating. Edith was a homemaker; Glenn originally farmed, but then went on to do many other things. He was a self-employed tile setter, worked at Kokomo Center Schools, and also at General Electric. He received his pilot's license in 1963, and was a member of the Flying Octogenarians Club and the Experimental Aircraft Association. He and Edith were the parents of 2 sons, Dale E. and Beryl Dean, and also had 7 grandchildren, 7 step-grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren and 10 step-great-grandchildren.
