Irish immigrants Roger and Johanna, both natives of County Waterford, were married at St. Paul's Cathedral in Worcester, Massachusetts, on November 5, 1875 by the Rev. D.H. O'Neill. Thomas Hurley and Nellie Welch were their witnesses. The couple moved to Indiana shortly after their marriage and resided at 919 North Webster St. in Kokomo from 1916 until their deaths. They were the parents of 12 children, eight of whom were living to help them celebrate their 50th anniversary in 1925, and many grandchildren and further descendants. One of their children, Charles Powers, is also featured in this display.
