Gerald and Maxine were married in the parsonage of the First Baptist Church by Rev. Brown on December 11, 1941, just five days after the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor. Gerald had just finished a two-year stint in the U.S. Army. He later worked at Delco Electronics, and Maxine at Americana Nursing Home. They raised 3 children: Martenia Watson, of Kokomo; Carolyn Wallace, who lives in Illinois; and Ronald Snow, of Kentucky. They have 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
