Robert Paul and Freeda (Horoho) Summers : 60+ Years
Married December 27th, 1941
Robert graduated from Greentown H.S. and Freeda from Jackson Township H.S. in 1939. They were married in a candlelight ceremony at the Sycamore Friends Church on Saturday afternoon, December 27, 1941, by the Rev. Luther Addington. After the wedding they immediately went to Lima, Ohio, where Robert was employed by the Western Union Telegraph Company. They later moved back to Howard County, where both were employed by Delco Electronics until their retirement. The couple has 4 children: Jeri Lu Trussel Radcliffe, Jennifer Lynn Troyer, Jan Alan Summers, and Jonetta Lane Downam, and numerous grandchildren. Freeda's parents, Owen and Sarah Horoho, are also featured in this display.
