W. Clay and Catherine Irene (Kenworthy) Wyant : 56 Years

Clay, a native of Burlington, and Catherine, who was from New London, were married at the home of her parents on New Year's Eve, 1934. The Rev. Murray Kenworthy of Amboy, who had officiated at the marriage of Catherine's parents 30 years earlier, pronounced them husband and wife. Clay was a heavy equipment operator and mechanic for RJL Construction; Catherine had her own beauty shop. They became the parents of 5 children: Charles B. Wyant, of Bunker Hill; Ernest L., of Delphi; Elouise "Ellie" Sizemore Zeck, of Kokomo; William Tom Wyant, of Russiaville; and Don R. Wyant, of Kokomo. By the time Clay died in 1991, they had 12 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, and 20 great-grandchildren.
