Computer Classes

Computer classes are offered free of charge to the public in our computer lab, at the Main Library. Most classes are taught on Saturday mornings and last approximately two hours.

What is a computer? How does it work? How do I use one or even turn it on? If you have been wondering about these questions our 'Computer Basics' class is just right for you. You will learn what makes up a personal computer and why they do the things they do. You will also be able to learn how to use a mouse and the basic elements of the Microsoft Windows operating system.

Introduction to the Internet
Learn the basics of "surfing the net." Students will learn how to use the Internet Explorer browser and be introduced to a few search engines and their functions. Students should be familiar with Windows and know how to operate a mouse. A mouse tutorial is available on the lab computers for those who need to learn or practice before taking this class.

Whether you’re buying or selling, this class will help you use eBay effectively and safely. You will learn the basics of how an eBay auction works, some of the key account features, the effectiveness of good product descriptions & photos as a seller, what to look for as a buyer, and much more!
